Mud Therapy - Exfoliating Mud Mask

Hey guys!

So my skin has been TERRIBLE lately, I've not been able to wear foundation because it's been dry and peeling and just looked horrible. I was rummaging around in Superdrug today for some new skin care products and I picked up this while I was in there, it's a Raspberry Exfoliating Mud Mask from Superdrug's own brand. I've heard good things about their own products so thought this was work a try!

To start I love the packaging, it's really simple and I like that the colour matches the "raspberry" theme, if that's silly then sorry! The texture of the mask is lovely and smooth (other than the large kernels which are rough, but lovely when applying to your face!) It also smells really nice if not slightly artificial. It says "with natural raspberry seeds and apricot kernels which gently and efficiently remove dead skin cells."

Mud therapy mask - £2.59 Superdrug
The instructions are very easy to follow, I used my Neutrogena Facial wash before and removed all of my make up, then applied the mask all over my face only (I don't like things hardening on my neck) and massaged it in gently. I left it on for 10 minutes, my skin is very sensitive and due to it's current dryness I'm wary of overloading it with products. I wanted to clear up my skin before entering my intense moisturising process, see the products i've bought for it and my reviews on them soon! The mask dried stiffly but it was really nice and easy to remove as it quickly softened and washed away in the warm water. I patted my face dry and applied my night moisturising products. It left my skin really soft, and as I suffer with very blocked pores, it cleared them noticeably in comparison to most products i've tried. It also didn't dry out my skin and did a very good job of clearing away my dry/peeled skin off my face.

Personally I love it! The tube is a reasonable size (75ml) and such a reasonable price that I'm really impressed by it's results! I'd definitely recommend trying this or one of the other mud masks they have to offer! Have you tried any of the Superdrug brand products?

WIWT Secret Santa!

Hey everyone!
Okay so this is slightly different from my usual posts, I really want to broaden what I feature on my blog. I'm hoping to do more beauty style posts, if anyones interested please let me know as I have some ideas for posts lined up already!

Anyway, I took part in the WIWT secret santa! We were given a person from anywhere across the globe and asked to spend £5-£10 on a present for them. Personally I love the website, I don't always have time to take top notch outfit photos, infact most of the time my photos are very average. I hate the whole "super blogger" persona about having to have perfect photos in perfect locations which just aren't always achievable. Lookbook is a bit out of my league so I very rarely post photos on there. I love Chictopia for my more exciting posts, which often get featured on the homepage so I'm very lucky. However, I post ALL of my outfits on WIWT. If you haven't seen the website yet then click here! Highly recommend it to share your outfits on another platform and get new followers!

This was my lovely present that I received, unfortunately they kept it secret, which I'm slightly gutted about as I would have loved to have thanked them! It's a gorgeous little purse, which I've decided I'm going to use as a coin bag so that I stop trying to jam up my big purse! It's from People Tree which is a brand I've looked at in my seminars and I really wanted to get a product from, I know it's fairtrade and handmade and just a genuine company, so it's a really sweet and thoughtful gift! I hope WIWT do it again next year, I will definitely take part again!!

Tartan Scarf

Jumper - Primark, Leggings - River Island, Wedges - Peacocks, Necklace - Topshop, Scarf - H&M
I'M HOME! Which hopefully means more outfit posts. Apologies for disappearing lately, I had uni deadlines and loads of night shifts at work. Should be back posting over the next two weeks, then I'm off to Birmingham and London so should have some posts lined up for the next few weeks.

This was my travelling outfit for yesterday, 5 hour journey home after an 11 hour night shift and just 3 hours sleep. Got this scarf from H&M the other day, I've been hunting for a tartan scarf, it was the last one left, and it was only 13 pounds, can't go wrong really. It's so large and warm I love it. Worn it with the jumper I'm currently living in from Primark. Did a large winter haul recently, makes me wish I was a vlogger to show you all.

Hope you're all having a nice week!

LCA exhibition

Okay so me and a couple of girls off my course took a trip down to Bird's Yard in Leeds today (if you live here and haven't been then GO, it has the cutest cafe and loads of little vintage shops!) because there was an exhibition on of Level 5 work.
I'm on a new course at Leeds College of Art and as I'm the second year group to do it ever (exciting!) it's rare that we get a chance to see work. This is the first project i'll do next year and i'm so excited! The exhibition also contained work from the Fashion Design pathway, but I thought i'd share some of my favourite parts.

I had a mind blank and completely forgot to note down the names of those who did the work, but if anyone wants to know I will find out and add it into the post! We were allowed to photograph but I feel the students deserve credit for their work.

Metallic Detail

Top - Oasap*, Shorts - Topshop, Blazer - Boohoo, Faux Lita Shoes - Ebay, Jewellery - Various
Hey, this is going to be super quick as I have work soon. Recieved this BEAUTIFUL top from Oasap the other day, had to photograph it properly for you all, these photos really don't do it justice so i'll do another post in it soon too. It was absolutely freezing outside so naturally I ended up rushing the photos before I died ha.

Tried to style the top how I would for a night out, with these lovely shorts I got from topshop, my faux lita's and a simple blazer for some warmth.

Hope everyones having a nice weekend in the cold!
