Gluten Free Eats - Loudons - Edinburgh

We checked out of the Hotel Sunday morning with plans to make the most of our final few hours in Edinburgh. A late night tired browse of nearby gluten free breakfast spots on Saturday night had brought up Loundons, which was just around the corner. When we arrived there was a queue, which is always a good sign in my opinion, and we got to wait inside eyeing up all the incredible cakes. Many of which were Nut Free and Gluten Free!! (A rare and exciting occurrence)

Beauty - Coloristiq - The New Nail Varnish Rental Service

A couple of weeks ago I had a nail varnish clear out. I used to change my nail colour a few times a week, and always had perfectly long nails, but over the past couple of years I've had a job where I was unable to keep up my tradition. The result? A few nail varnishes I knew I'd never wear and 10+ that had dried up, despite being over half full. Perhaps it was a little bit of fate that I then was introduced to a new kind of beauty box, a Nail Varnish Rental Service, by Coloristiq

Gluten Free Eats - RoseLeaf - Edinburgh

I've always been one of those people that HAS to check the restaurants menu before I go. The moment I saw the menu to Roseleaf it was all I could think about. It has so many Gluten Free options across all the menu's and all of them sound incredible.

Travel - Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa - Edinburgh

My boyfriend took me away to Edinburgh this weekend, he booked tickets for Ben Howards concert at Usher Hall months ago, but only recently booked a hotel. Of course it's an expensive city, so he gambled and booked a secret hotel through HotWire

Warmth Over Fashion

Let's just say, Edinburgh was freezing. My outfits definitely became more comfortable and warm vs. stylish, and outfit taking was fairly rushed so apologies! You'll already know if you follow me on Instagram that I pretty much live in this jumper. It's from H&M and I was so happy to find it! I definitely need to get a black version from somewhere, and break up the pattern a bit, but at least I've got my monies worth! It's so easy to just chuck on over leather trousers, or with a skirt and knee-high boots!

Gluten Free Eats - Urban Angel & Archipelago Bakery - Edinburgh

A Saturday morning stroll looking for breakfast brought us to Urban Angel. Just off of Queen Street, it's a quick walk from Edinburgh centre, and a lovely cafe. There was a wait for a table, although our 20 minute wait ended up being about 5, always a good thing!

(not my photo, forgot to take one sorry)

Fashion Film - 'I Am Luxury'

I was set a brief by Louis Vuitton, to create something portraying my definition of 'I Am Luxury'. Of course, I brainstormed many more sentimental ideas, but I decided in my eyes, Confidence is a Luxury.

Fashion Film - Opaque

Hey! A bit of a different post today. I want to keep my blog personal and diverse so want to include more art and fashion. I study Fashion Concepts and Communication at Leeds College of Art, so thought I would start sharing some of my work with you all!

This is a Fashion Film and Zine I produced as one of my submissions in second year. I was exploring the personality behind a model, using an ironic title of Opaque. The aim was to explore how the model would portray themselves, allowing their personality to shine through, as opposed to a directed movement.

Gluten Free Recipe - Chicken Katsu Curry

So yes, it's not quite as good as Wagamamas, it's missing the unbelievable salad dressing that comes with their version and the thickness of the sauce. BUT it's a pretty good substitute.

Gluten Free Eats - Cabana Brasil - Leeds

A few weeks ago I got a very exciting invite to the Cabana Leeds opening. I struggle to find gluten friendly places the further up north I head, it's definitely not as widely promoted as it is down south, so a London chain opening it's doors in Leeds is very welcomed! The menu is HUGE with so many options for all dietary requirements and tastes. There's even a gluten free chocolate pudding!

A Floral Affair

I wanted this jacket for AGES, I have the matching shorts from Zara but could never justify the price tag for the jacket too, so when it popped up on Sheinside I couldn't resist. A fraction of the cost and a perfect match for the print of my Zara shorts, what a bargain!

Gluten Free Eats - Honest Burger - Soho

I've been hunting down which burger joints in London serve gluten free options (and taking recommendations from the girls at Motel) and couldn't resist a trip down to Honest Burgers. Admittedly we had about an hours wait for our table, but with a promise of Gluten Free buns and Gluten Free onion rings (WHAT?!) it was easy enough. They even serve 3 types of Gluten Free beer if you're a fan.

An Evening in Soho

Behold my newest Jacket purchase, absolutely adore it. Primark, you did good. I saw Lydia from Fashioninflux rocking this and right away knew that I needed it. I ran out on my lunch break to Oxford Street Primark and battled the crowds (and the queue) to get it. I don't have much white in my wardrobe, so this has been a very welcome addition which I'm going to use every half decent weather day to take advantage of.

Jacket - Primark, Top & Jeans - Topshop, Boots - River Island, Bag - H&M

Triangl Swimwear - California Coral

Now this is going to be a pretty honest review of Triangl, so many bloggers got gifted them and just said how great they are. I bought two bikini's, I also bought Tilly Sunburst which I adore and had no problems with. This particular bikini has now been returned as it was faulty, the centre part snapped open when I wore it the second time, also, when I went to take photos of this to return it, I noticed the bikini itself had distinctly changed colour (almost an orange in colour). I've swapped it for the New York Noir (no risk of colour changing) so after my upcoming holiday I'll be able to give you a review of that.

Gluten Free Eats - Coop Chicken House - Newcastle

So, I'm a huge Nando's fan, and admittedly their gluten free options are pretty great, but I'm always exploring. Me and my boyfriend had been planning to go to Coop Chicken House for a while, and finally found a chance to head down. I asked right away about Nuts and Gluten, and was visited by the chef. His wife (I think) is coeliac and has eaten everything there completely fine. It's not officially approved as gluten free though because it has to go through formal processes to do so. Please do ask if you visit just to be sure again, but I was completely fine with all the food. So it's a personal preference based on your intolerance!

Gluten Free Eats - Fat Hippo Underground - Newcastle

So here's to something a little bit different. After years of bloating and being unwell, I found out a few months ago I'm Gluten Intolerant. It's worth mentioning now, that it's not the same as being Coeliac, but intensities can differ. Switching my diet over has been hard (oh how I love Spaghetti Carbonara), and there's been a lot of trial an error. So as a Gluten-free, Nut-free blogger, I decided it'd be something worth sharing. I'm just going to share suitable restaurants for now, but will try and expand into some healthy & cheap recipes, (gluten free and cheap don't tend to go hand in hand).
